Splish Splash

Just a quick peek at some birds.
The robins seem to do everything as a group. They even bathe together.
"Ok, everyone in the puddle."

"Now, one, two, three, splash!"

These charming little finches were also bathing this afternoon. Everything was fine until...

Mr. Pushy came along and scared them all away.

Love the bird photos Laura - my robins are back too and love the bird baths where they drink and bathe en masse. Spring is on the way!

Lovely birds. Your robins aren't at all like our robins here in the UK, ours are smaller and fatter! The finches are alike. What a lovely blue bird, is it a fairy wren? x

For Jeannie and Home is Where the Heart Is:

Mr. Pushy is a Western Scrub Jay. They are quite common in California year round. Average lenght 10", very protective of their territory. They will harass cats, squirrels, humans and other birds.
Our robins are American Robins which are related to thrushes, about 8" long.
